Pontiac went 24 years without a factory Firebird convertible, and the body style did not return until 1994, one year after the fourth-generation car launched. That makes this an early example of the reborn drop-top, built alongside the rest of the fourth-generation F-bodies in Ste-Therse, Quebec. Power comes from the 3.4L V6, factory rated at 160 horsepower and 200 lb-ft, paired with a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a 3.23 rear axle. It is a combination Pontiac aimed at relaxed highway cruising, and it suits the car well with the top down. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums in the base V6 configuration. Equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, bucket seats, and the dual airbag system the fourth-generation F-body carried from the start. The air conditioning blows cold and the power soft top raises and lowers as intended. The gray interior presents well, with clean seats and carpet throughout.
